Effective Date: July 10, 2018

This policy outlines the standard process, expectations, and boundaries for all website design and development projects managed by Brilliantek LLC.

  1. The Design Process & “Milestones”

To ensure quality and timely delivery, our projects follow a structured phase system. Each phase must be approved in writing (email suffices) before moving to the next:

  • Phase 1: Discovery & Wireframing – Defining the site map and basic layout.
  • Phase 2: Design Mockups – The “look and feel,” including colors, fonts, and imagery.
  • Phase 3: Development – Coding the site on a private staging environment.
  • Phase 4: Testing & QA – Checking links, mobile responsiveness, and forms.
  • Phase 5: Launch – Migrating the site to the live domain.
  1. Client Content Obligations

We build the “house,” but you provide the “furniture.”

  • Submission Deadline: All text, high-resolution logos, and images must be provided within 10 business days of the project start date.
  • Project Stalls: If a project is delayed by more than 30 days due to missing client content, we reserve the right to pause the project and charge a “Restart Fee” of $250 to re-allocate resources.
  1. Revisions & Changes
  • Included Revisions: Each project includes 2 rounds of consolidated revisions during the Design and Development phases.
  • What is a “Round”?: A “round” is a single list of feedback items. Please gather all stakeholder feedback into one document to avoid back-and-forth emails.
  • Out-of-Scope Changes: Requests for new features (e.g., adding an e-commerce store to a basic landing page) or changes after a phase has been “signed off” will be billed at our hourly rate of $100 (subject to change with updates to this policy).
  1. Browser & Device Compatibility

We design websites to be “Responsive,” meaning they adjust to various screen sizes. We support the latest two versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). We do not guarantee perfect rendering on outdated legacy browsers (e.g., Internet Explorer) or out of normal use or specialty browsers (e.g. Opera).

  1. Post-Launch Support & Warranty
  • The “Bug” Window: We provide a 30-day warranty period after launch to fix any technical bugs or broken links identified at the time of go-live.
  • Client Edits: We are not responsible for site crashes or “broken layouts” caused by the Client (or third parties) attempting to edit code or install incompatible plugins after the site is handed over. If a customer does cause such issues, we can only provide support to clients who have a maintenance and support plan.
  1. Third-Party Fees

The Client is responsible for all third-party costs required to keep the site running, including:

  • Domain Registration unless purchased through us.
  • Web Hosting unless purchased through us
  • Premium Plugin Licenses (e.g., specialized forms, security tools, scheduling systems, etc.) unless purchased or included in your Scope of Work (SOW) contract.
  • Stock Photography Licenses unless purchased through us or included as part of your SOW contract.
  1. Portfolio Credit

Unless otherwise requested in writing, we reserve the right to display the finished project in our professional portfolio and include a small “Designed by Brilliantek LLC” link in the website footer.
